Cancellations and changes to cruise bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the cruise line or supplier you booked with. Fees may apply, and these can increase the closer you are to your sail date. Understanding these rules early can help you avoid unexpected costs.
Cancellation Fees
If you cancel your booking, cancellation fees will apply based on:
- The cruise line or service booked
- How close the cancellation is to your sail date
- The supplier’s published cancellation policy
What This Can Mean
- Cancellation fees can range from loss of deposit to 100% of the total booking value
- No‑show bookings or failure to cancel will still incur charges
- Cancelled bookings are not eligible for Velocity Points
Cancellation penalties generally increase as your departure date approaches.
Payments and Automatic Cancellations
- If your deposit or final payment is not received by the due date set by the supplier, your booking may be cancelled automatically
- Standard cancellation fees may then apply
Keeping payments on time helps avoid automatic cancellation and additional fees.
Refunds
Refunds, where permitted, are:
- Governed by the cruise line or supplier’s terms and conditions
- Processed only after funds are received back from the supplier (if payment has already been passed on)
Please note:
- Refund timeframes vary by supplier
- Government fees, port charges, taxes, and surcharges may change until final payment is made and documents are issued
